Tucked inside the Jailhouse Casino, it’s the vibe you would expect in a small town in NV. Such good food! Highly recommend the smashburger Bennie. A fun twist on a favorite.

I left Ely three months ago to head back east for grad school. Every single week, I find myself craving Smash N Grab. I have genuinely never had this powerful of a reaction to food before, like I'm in withdrawal and I NEED it. No other diner or burger joint does what this place does and as well as it does. During my year in Ely, I tried to eat here once a week, sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less. I wish I'd eaten here even more often, to truly burn the flavors of cheesesteaks, burgers, and fries into my mouth. I don't know how they do it, but they've done it. Perfectly. In all my years of traveling across the country, I have only eaten at TWO places that have served better American cuisine than this random casino burger place- one, a hole in the wall cheesesteak place in Philly, and the other a fine dining grill in downtown Miami. And yet, I'd still rather come back here than either of those, because unlike the Philly place, it's got clean sit down eating and a relaxed atmosphere, and unlike the Miami place, it's actually affordable! If you are passing through this little mountain town in the middle of nowhere, Nevada, you NEED to stop here for a bite. The fries alone are to die for. I want to come back to Ely just for this.

WOW! If you haven’t tried this local gem you are truly missing out! The interior is a bit non-descript and you have to enter the casino to get to the restaurant but who cares - THE FOOD IS AMAZING!! We are visiting from out of state and had done a Northern Railway train ride tour and the guide recommended this as one of the good places to eat in town when we asked for ideas. So we thought we’d check it out. We were NOT disappointed. We arrived mid-day on a weekday. They were not busy luckily. We were waited on immediately and our order came out quickly. We had ordered the patty melt and the mac and cheese burger. They looked incredible! And the tots and fresh cut fries were plentiful! And best of all - EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING!! One of the best burgers we’ve ever had. And the sides were incredible. We also got some dessert to take home. The pistachio cheesecake is a nice change of pace and was so yummy! The chocolate cake was rich and delicious! Our waiter was great and he stayed on top of refills for drinks and checking on us. Do yourself a favor - find the parking spot, make the effort to go inside and have the best food you’re gonna find! We were glad we did!

Best Philly Cheesesteak I’ve had! This place is in the jailhouse casino and boy is it great! Food was absolutely fantastic. Pretty much all fried food but what’s not to love. Started with the fried pickles and chose the spicy cheesesteak with onion rings for my main. The portions are very big. The service was awesome. Highly recommend.

Surprisingly good burger and good pickle chip, would go again. Used fresh jalapeño on my burger which I didn’t expect from them which was awesome! Sever was nice and recommended good stuff in the area. Loved the vintage casino vibe. Only thing I would change is maybe play music quietly or have some more music coming in it was awkwardly quiet but everything else was great

Stopped on our way through Ely. We enjoyed our burger/sandwiches and the service was fabulous. The restaurant is inside an older casino. Worth a quick stop.

We were very pleasantly surprised by this little gem. We had the Chicken Bacon Ranch Cheesecake and the Mushroom Swiss Cheesestake. They were excellent! Also, I saw a picture on the wall of the owner with Guy Fieri. I had to ask about it. He worked with Guy Fieri in Las Vegas, helping to open restaurants and train cooks. Not too shabby for Ely. Staff was super friendly, too.

Super high praise for this little diner in a casino! We had a burger with fries, a buffalo chicken sandwich with onion rings, chicken strips with tots, and grilled cheese with mashed potatoes. My husband and son said the burger and buffalo chicken sandwich were some of the best they had ever had! Very pleasantly surprised by how good everything was!
